How do I connect my existing cameras to my new modem?

Google Nest does not provide any mechanism for updating the WiFi's SSID and password stored in its newer cameras and doorbells (which work ONLY in the Google Home app) except by removing them and setting them up as new devices. For older cameras, it may be possible to update them in the Google Nest app. Here's their page on the Google Nest Help website:

When we got a new internet modem/router awhile back, I set its SSID and password to the same as the old modem/router to avoid this hassle.
Because Google Nest does not provide a way to update SSIDs and passwords in its devices, they even say: "The simplest fix for most Nest products is to update your home network so that the network name (SSID) and password are the same as before.":

If you name your new WIFI network the exact same name as the old one and use the exact same password then all the devices in your home should come back on-line without any effort... although there may be a few acceptors to this.

When we did this with our new modem, all of the devices in our home came back on-line just fine.
