I have seen one or two posts regarding the night vision being poor. That is no joke. I have 5 year old external cameras that did a better job of these new Google Nest Outdoor Battery cameras. Frankly, they are useless at night.
Has anyone noticed that the Android notifications are off. I get a notification that there is a car in my driveway but the clip in the notification doesn't show the car, or a notification that there is a person in the driveway and there is nobody there. But when you look at the clip the vehicle was there just ~5 seconds later, same for the person.
I am also getting annoyed at the "Motion" notifications for shadows or headlights. Can they add some additional algorithms to filter those out? Also false readings about people in a zone. And getting notification for events OUTSIDE the zones I setup. I setup zones for a reason, what good are they if they do not listen.
I am days away from returning these 3 cameras I purchased, they are sad and next to useless.
Google, you listening?!

Hi there, sperry1625.
Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that your experience with your new cameras has been a poor experience. I would love to help you out as best as I can. I do not use android, so when you state you are having those specific issues, I cannot state I have had the same experience with my cameras. However, I would try to restart all of them if you haven't and if that doesn't work, you can adjust your settings and notifications to reflect what you want to see the most. Try adjusting and moving your cameras if they are not in the best place that works for you.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Hey again,
I am sorry to hear that those steps have not worked for you. I am not quite sure what the issue is that you are having. Please look here for more information on Night Vision, and some troubleshooting steps to take. Let me know how it goes.
Best Regards,
Brad.

The cameras in question have no obstructions. Nothing in that link helped. How else can the night vision be helped/enhanced?

Hello, sperry1625.
If these options are not helping you out, I am afraid I have nothing more for you to try. It could be unique to your device. I have seen some users state that when a when there is a light close by to the camera, the night vision tends to be messed up a bit because it's trying to compensate for the light near it. If this is the case, the light near by the camera may be to blame.
Best Regards,
Brad.

I saw the response, but nothing has helped so far. How do I report the defects to Google?
