Night owl stand alone cameras

I brought two stand alone cameras from a yard sale it says I can't add them to my app because they done been added to a account  how do I get them removed from a old app to put them on my app so I can use them.

Hey Connie67,

 

I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you, let me help you out. Try these steps and let us know how it goes.

 

  1. The camera has no recorded video history.
  2. The camera must be offline for 48 hours before setting it up using Bluetooth (BLE). There is no required offline time before pairing a camera via USB.

If the conditions above are met, the following happens:

 

  1. The camera will be automatically unpaired from the original owner's account.
  2. A note will be added to the camera’s record in Dropcam Admin. The note will have information about the old and new accounts that the camera was or is paired to.
  3. The previous owner will receive an email to notify them about the removal of the camera from their account.
  4. The camera will be paired to the new owner’s account.
