My Nest Camera (battery) recorded videos in 5 minute increments but in between the videos, there’s only 2 seconds of sound then the rest of the 4:57 seconds, is mute. No sound whatsoever. And this is about 3hrs of 5 minute videos with no sound.

Hi nmbr1byrd,
Thanks for visiting the Community. I'm sorry for the delayed response. No worries, we'll check this out. Do you have an Android or iPhone? Do you have a Nest Aware subscription? When did the issue start? Also, is the audio issue persistent or intermittent? If intermittent, how often does it happen?
Going over the steps here might help:
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
JT

Hey there,
Gotcha. Could you check if your Google Home app has permissions to use the phone's location? Try to reistall the app to make sure its up-to-date. Also, check if there's an OS update on your phone. Keep us posted.
Thanks,
Archie

The app has location permissions turned on, App is up to date, and phone OS is up to date as well. Still, I have no sound. Only when it wants to produce playback sound. This is annoying.

Hey there,
I am terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your Nest camera! I'm sure it's frustrating, but I'm happy to look into this and see how we can help out. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. By doing this, it should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
Best regards,
Brad

Hello Brad,
I'll try this as soon as I get a chance and let you know. But the issue still persists as of now. I'll give you a follow up once I try the restart. The evidence of whether it worked will be this Sunday.

Janthadeus,
I had to wait until Sunday to see if the reset worked. That’s when our church services are held and that’s when I have the sound issues. But great news. Looks like the reset worked. I have sound all through the service. Thanks everyone for the help.
