No alerts when doobell is pressed

When someone presses the doorbell button I do not received any notifications on my phone.  The camera works perfect. The unit is about 3 years old. The original home chime doesn't work either.

Is your Nest Hello Doorbell by any chance going offline for a minute whenever the doorbell button is pressed?

If so, you could have the same problem that has affected all three of our Nest Hello Doorbells and has affected hundreds of other customers. The internal battery in the Nest Hello Doorbell often fails after a year or two. The workaround is to turn off the "Indoor chime" option (in which case the doorbell chime no longer rings but the doorbell no longer goes offline) and rely instead on "Visitor announcements" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451) on your Nest speakers. That's what we've done.

@BillinBrandon, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, which Nest Doorbell do you have? Is your Do not Disturb turn on? Do you have the indoor chime or is it connected to a Nest speaker? Looking forward to your response.
