How is it possible they would create a doorbell that has no ability to ring inside? I don't have the option to wire the doorbell. This is the reason I went with the battery version. If the hub can "announce" that someone is at the front door, why can't it use a ringtone instead? This is ridiculous. I can't even find an additional wireless add on product. Hearing the hub talk and getting a notification on my cell doesn't cut it. Are they working on resolving this issue?

If your doorbell is not wired to an indoor doorbell chime, then in addition to the notifications on your phone, the only other option Google Nest offers is "Visitor announcements" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451), which produces BOTH an announcement and a chime sound on any Nest Hubs, Nest Minis, or Nest speakers. (You cannot configure it for JUST a chime sound.)
