Hello all
My Nest Hello doorbell has been peeling for some time. Most of the face has peeled off. The chime doesn't get triggered nor the Google Assistant announce. Is this a widespread manufacturing issue? Are Google doing anything to rectify the situation?

Two of our three Nest Hello Doorbells are peeling. We bought silicone skins last year to cover the peeling shards; fortunately our buttons and camera lens are not peeling.
The internal battery has failed on all three of our Nest Hello Doorbells, causing the doorbell to go offline for a minute whenever the doorbell is pressed (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-Hello-Doorbell-cuts-out-when-butto...). We're using the common workaround, noted in the thread just referenced, of turning off the "Indoor chime" option, which means our indoor doorbell chime no longer rings, but the doorbells all stay online. And we rely instead on the "Visitor announcements" option (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451) to get announcements on our Nest Hubs and Nest Minis.
Google Nest's response on these two issues has been to say they "cannot" replace the doorbell if it is past the 1-year warranty. At least the workarounds let us keep using the doorbells.
