I am not getting push notifications for any of my

Nest camera or doorbells (almost ten in total). I checked my phone settings and settings in the app. Any ideas?

This is a tuff one.  If you search thru this forum you will see many people have had this exact same issue and what they tried to resolve it.

Try doing a full power down of your phone for about 60 seconds and power it back up.  Sometimes it is a cellular issue and the phone just needs to re-establish itself on the network.

By any chance do you have GOOGLE Routers at this location?  A number of people have reported it as a firmware bug in the google mesh routers.

You might also (for troubleshooting) try putting the app on another phone (like one from a family member) and then logging in with your credentials and see if that phone gets the alerts.

Good luck and please post back here anything you find that gets it working.

I have the Eero Routers and an iPhone and I have never had this issue but I know you are not alone on this.

You're right, @Emoore30 is definitely not alone!

I've had this issue ever since installing 3 cameras in December.

Tried every troubleshooting under the sun - reinstall app (multiple times), turn notifications (both in app and on app in android settings) off, on, add to another home, sent them examples multiple times, sent feedback through the app.. after weeks of wasting my time with dumb troubleshooting they finally conceded that it was an issue with the app and the software engineers are on the case (weeks ago now).. persevere with Google Nest Support up the chain as far as you can go until they eventually escalate it to where it needs to go 🙏🏾

@SamGray

I would suggest you reach out to Support for a replacement then. It is possible you may have a faulty device. I do not know how else to help as this is still an ongoing issue.

Best regards,

Brad.

Hi Brad,

I have three devices though and none of them work 😔 so I don't think it's a random faulty device that's the issue, I think the engineering team need to fix an issue with the app affecting me and others in this forum who aren't receiving notifications on their devices

Sam, if you want send me an email, let me know if you have made any progress on this issue on your end by chance.

Hi Chris, I'm not sure how to email you sorry

This issue is still being looked into. I do not have an answer, nor can I speak on behalf of engineering. All I can do is ask you to wait.

Best regards,

Brad.

Hey Folks.

At this time, I'll go ahead and lock this thread. If you're still experiencing problems, feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Hi Brad,

I have had these same two cameras for 2 years and they used to work well on all notifications.  I am having the same issue as everyone in this thread and others.  I have checked all settings and there should be no reason.  I actually did get a single notification the other day when power went out at the house and I got an automated email that the cameras were offline.  But that comes from NestAware losing connection to a device not the devices sending a push.

This needs to be resolved.

Hi Chris, by any chance do you have a dual-sim phone?  If so this might be causing the problem as to why the alerts are not coming thru.

Also, did you try my suggestion from February 9th? "You might also (for troubleshooting) try putting the app on another phone (like one from a family member) and then logging in with your credentials and see if that phone gets the alerts."

@EmptyNester that suggestion only tells you that the device works. We're all quite confident most of the devices work. It's the app that doesn't work and it doesn't work with many models of phones, so Google really needs to pull their finger out and fix it.

I was trying to narrow down whether the problem was specific to your phone or more of a problem on the Google side.    What kind of phone are you on?

Samsung Galaxy A51. Have seen others on this forum with the same phone, having issues. Have Google engineers claiming they have same phone and no issues. Have seen other phones, makes, models, OS have issues. Very clearly an Google Home app issue.
