@Debbons

You could try deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app. We had do do this with the Google Nest app on one of our iPhones when we quit getting sound notifications for our Nest Hello Doorbells.

Google Nest does not provide any options to configure notification sounds.

If you're not receiving sound notifications on your phone when your doorbell rings or detects motion, there are a few things you can check:

  1. Make sure that the notifications for your doorbell are enabled in the app. Check the settings in the app to ensure that you have enabled notifications for doorbell rings and motion detection.

  2. Check that the volume on your phone is turned up and not on silent mode. It's possible that you have accidentally turned down the volume on your phone or put it on silent mode.

  3. Check that your phone is not set to Do Not Disturb mode. This mode silences all notifications and may be preventing you from receiving sound notifications for your doorbell.

  4. If you have an iPhone, check that the notifications are set to "Sounds" instead of "None" or "Banner." You can check this in the Settings app under "Notifications."

  5. If none of these steps work, try restarting your phone and your doorbell. This may help to reset any issues that are preventing sound notifications from coming through.

  6. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or recommend a replacement if necessary.
