Not getting notification for Google Nest doorbell

I have got a new doorbell, I set it up on my new phone (got them at the same time). I am not getting many notifications for apps on my new phone. For the Google Home app I am getting no notifications for movement etc on camera. My old phone however, is getting Google doorbell notifications etc. I have turned on push notifications, I've reset phone, I've reset app preferences, Ive check battery saver/data saver modes. I've done all I have been able to read about.

I am not sure if it's nest, Google or samsung issue!

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that your Nest doorbell notifications aren't coming through on your new phone, especially since they worked fine on your old device. Also, you're not getting notifications for other apps on your new phone. I truly appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've already taken. Help is here!

Let's go through some troubleshooting steps for your Google Home app notifications. If those don't work, I suggest reaching out to Samsung, given that you're not receiving notifications from other apps either.

  • Check the app permissions
    • Go to the device’s Settings.
    • Select Apps and notifications and then all apps.
    • Locate the Home app Google Home app.
    • If it's on, turn it off, then turn it back on.
  • If you have a Nest Aware subscription active, please create an Activity Zone
    • Please take a look at this article on how to create an Activity Zone: Set up and use Activity Zones
    • Note: Make sure the camera is pointed to an area that isn't too bright or dark.
  • Restart your Nest doorbell
