Google home suddenly stopped sending me or anyone in my family notifications when my cameras are triggered. It’s happening across all devices, on all cameras, on all 3 properties we have cameras installed. What’s the point of having a camera if I can’t get notifications? Nothing has changed, not the camera, network, settings, phone, nothing. Just all of a sudden stopped getting them. Spent over an hour with help chat and they have zero answers other than give us 24 to 48 hours to try to figure it out. Has this happened with anyone else? Were you able to fix it?

I'm just another Google Nest customer, and don't know why some customers in this forum have problems with notifications.

Hi I'm also getting the same problem since 2 days now. I switched from my S10+ to S24 Ultra and it seemed to work at the beginning for a day, but then all notifications never come to my phone, but still does come to my girlfriend's phone.
I spent also several hours going through notifications options, clearing cache, force stop, uninstall-reinstall, but didn't succeed to get notifications again. An older topic from beginning of this year complains about this, and some figured some steps to help, but no official answer is given.

I am not receiving any push notifications to my iPhone 15 Pro Max for ANY type of motion on my Nest Cams & Nest Battery Doorbell. I do not even get notifications if the doorbell is pressed. Google Nest Support has escalated my case so many times and I’ve pretty much went through every troubleshooting in their book. One agent said the subscription NestAwarePlus is not set up correctly with my ADT account and that’s why I’m not receiving any notifications but that cannot be true because NestAwarePlus does not control my Google Home general iPhone notifications. I literally don’t know what to do! Google Support can’t even help me properly. They keep saying “Let’s escalate” and then that team Escalates. There’s a never ending “escalation” team that doesn’t know how to help me. So close to returning these useless cameras.

Mine is the same, I have recently stopped receiving motion alerts. I get a notification if the doorbell is pressed or sound is detected but not motion. My indoor nest cam is working fine.

Same here! Driving me crazy. Got a new IPhone 15 and I no longer get any alerts, I have gone through all my alerts a million times.

So you used to get alerts and they just stopped? Google Nest Support emailed me an hour ago to contact Apple about Push Notifications… This is getting frustrating.

No luck. They still have my case Pending. But I was able to find a loophole in a way. I invited my other gmail account to the Home and I receive push notifications from that account to my iPhone. I’m thinking maybe my main account has some sort of restrictions or lock, I have no idea.

My husband is the “owner” I had him send me a new invite but that didn’t work, not sure if this is similar to what you did, which you said worked.

Aw I’m sorry it didn’t work! I’m the owner on mine and I sent myself an invite to my other personal email so I’m logged into both. Just throwing this out there as a suggestion but maybe try signing into your husband’s account in the google home app>send yourself a new invite to your email>stay logged into both simultaneously on the app>But stay in your account on the app. See if that works. I hate that we have to find inconvenient loopholes like this though… I wish Google Nest would fix this problem that MANY of us have!

4 days, countless emails, switched to 4, 4, different specialists and no one can figure it out. Spent 2 hours on the phone again yesterday only to have them tell me they need to refer it to a specialist again. It is so frustrating. The weirdest part is I’m getting notifications from the old nest cameras. Apple laughed and said so you’re getting notifications for everything else on every other device, just not your google cameras? Yah, it’s not your phone. Google has no freaking idea.

I don't think you should have flagged my reply as "Best Answer".
Something is going on with some of these customers. And as @EricGrande1 just pointed out, they were able to start receiving notifications by adding another Google Account to their Google Nest "home", so something odd is going on that Google Nest should address.

Hi Byron, that link is useless for this issue, I have spoken with 4 specialists. 4. The case was escalated 2x. Not one of them has been able to resolve the issue. I am currently waiting for the 4th to contact me back as he said it would take 24 to 48 hours. This is the second 24 to 48 hours I’ve had to wait. It’s awful.

Ok so like Eric said if you have or create another google account you can I cite them to join your home. Once I did that I was able to get notifications again. I didn’t change a single setting. Not one. You think google would have figured this out by now. I’m not sure why the email I used to set it up doesn’t work and I doubt google will be much help…if I ever hear back.
