Hi I am not receiving any notifications on my Google Home app for my nest cam.
If anyone can further point me in the right direction to solve this issues, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I've already troubleshoot the following:
1. Check App Settings:
Notifications Enabled:
Open the Google Home app and navigate to Settings > Notifications. Ensure that notifications for your camera are turned on.
General Notifications:
Within the app's notification settings, check for a "General Notifications" or similar category and verify that notifications for events like motion detection are enabled.
Device Settings:
If you see a banner indicating that push notifications aren't enabled in your device's settings, follow the link to enable them there.
App Permissions:
Ensure the Nest or Google Home app has the necessary permissions to send notifications on your device.
Account Sign-in:
Make sure you're signed in to the correct Google account in the app, as notifications are tied to the specific account and home setup.
2. Check Camera Status:
Power and Internet: Ensure your camera is powered on and has a stable internet connection.
Online Status: Verify that your camera is online and connected in the Google Home app.
Motion Detection: If you're relying on motion detection, check that it's enabled in your camera's settings within the app.
3. Device-Specific Settings:
Android:
For Android devices, go to System settings > Notifications > App notifications > Nest or Google Home and verify notification settings are correct.

Maybe check battery settings on the app and set to unrestricted battery use if you haven't already. I'm no expert though just a home user... Mine doesn't give multiple notification sounds if the app is open on the screen. It might give one notification sound if the screen is open if kept open then just notifications without sound.
