Upon being on a vacation recently we noticed we received notification of some events but not others, which is problematic.

 

We rely on this device for security reasons but also for other reasons such as Airbnb guests and Vrbo guests.

 

do you know how this could be happening sporadically?

Mine haven't worked properly for over a year and I've spent hundreds of hours trying to make them work correctly.. Good luck... If you work out a fix please reply here so i can try fix mine

We understand your concern about your device not working as it should, and we appreciate your reports here in the Community.

 

I'd love to dig deeper into this issue. What type of Nest camera do you have? Do you have an iOS or Android device?

 

Check the notification settings for each device. Follow the instructions here.

 

If the settings look good, follow the troubleshooting steps below (try to trigger a notification to test after each step):

 

  • Connect the mobile device to another Wi-Fi or cellular network.
  • Sign in to your account on another mobile device.
  • Connect the Nest cameras to a different network.
