We have a number of speakers in our home, one of them in our toddler's room so that we can play white noise while he sleeps. However, whenever the doorbell rings, that speaker (along with every other speaker in the home) rather loudly announces the visitor's presence.
The current options seem to be either disabling visitor announcements on every speaker and relying on the physical doorbell -- which unfortunately is very quiet in our home -- or risking waking the baby from a nap when an errant delivery person rings the doorbell during naptime.
Would it be possible to add a feature where Nest only notifies on a single speaker? Especially with speaker groups, being able to pick a single speaker or speaker group would be allow notifications on arbitrary sets of speakers, and solve both my and I'd imagine many others' issue.

I mean, my workaround has been to disable the feature, which axiomatically solves the issue :P. I imagine it's not uncommon though for someone to not want every single Google Home + Wifi point in their house to go off when a doorbell rings, which is why I posted the suggestion.

Thank you so much for bringing this up to my attention! I like that idea, and I could see how it could be helpful. I will go ahead and submit this feedback forward for you. Thank you for all of your patience. As this is just a feature request, or a feature removal suggestion, this thread will be locked as this has been recorded and sent forward.
Please let me know if you need further assistance on this issue.
