I've had a Nest account for a decade, starting back when it was still called Drop Cam. My setup includes both wired indoor and outdoor Nest cams. Recently, I purchased three more outdoor wired cameras from Amazon for a new vacation property. I added a new home in the Nest app (not the Google app) and configured these cameras specifically for that location, allowing me to manage both my primary residence and vacation home under one account.
However, while my original home cameras continuously record with the Nest Aware subscription I've had for years, the new home's cameras only capture footage when motion is detected. They don't maintain a constant 24/7 recording. I've noticed that this motion detection isn't as comprehensive as I'd like, missing events that my regular home setup would have caught. How can I address this discrepancy? How do I get 24/7 recording at the new location?

The second generation of cameras that you have do not record continuously for 60 days with Nest Aware plus. If I understand correctly, they capture continuous video for the last 10 days, after that, only the events captured by the AI from the camera are available. If the event is not captured by the camera, the interesting video is lost.
With a new release that Google just announced and should be deployed in the next few days, it will be possible to create custom clips from the recorded video; I guess, that we will be able to conserve the interesting video clips of our choice.

I specifically ordered Nest outdoor Gen1 cameras for the vacation home. I have already bought a 2nd Gen about a year ago and returned it because I could only use it on the google app and the quality of the video and camera itself was of lesser quality. So these are Gen 1 and are only recording motions, not 24/7.
I am starting to think I have to have a Nest Aware subscription for both locations.

I think you are correct in that you need a separate subscription for 2 different locations. Here is a link I found and it doesn't seem to answer your question specifically but there is a "CONTACT US" button where you can ask your question directly to a Google Tech person.... Here is the link:

A Nest Aware subscription covers only one Google Nest "home/structure" on the same Wi-Fi network.

I had to log in to https://store.google.com/subscriptions?funnel=true&hl=en-US, and then from there, I could add the nest aware to the vacation house. I was still on the free trial at that location.
