We have had the Google Nest Camera (Battery) since early September 2021 and have it plugged in all the time with the optional 10-meter power cable. It has stayed charged at 100% (you have to unplug it to see the battery level) and is "Live" all the time in Minnesota weather with temperatures as low as -18 degrees Fahrenheit (-28 degrees Celsius). I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but we have it mounted under a camera shade to shield it from the weather. We have a Nest Aware Plus subscription we had with our other cameras. (However, we are not happy that it does not work with the Google Home app and the functionality that is missing as a result.)

Hi Gamma, I believe MplsCustomer is correct and the way I understand it is you should be good to go. There is a major issue with the new DOORBELL (battery) such that it will not charge in cold weather. But that is specific to the DOORBELL and not your camera.
Mpls, are you in Minnesota? Burrrrrr! LOL
