Outdoor camera not charging even though it is hard wired to a plug-in by ADT.

I just had ADT install nest outdoor cameras. They are wired to ac adapters and plugged in. The battery life continues to deplete even though it is wired. I don't understand why they aren't 100% due to them being wired.

@Ricky5

We've had a battery camera for 19 months, plugged in with the optional 10-meter power cable, and it is "Live" at all times and the battery remains charged. If we check Settings | Battery while it is plugged in, it says "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol.  We cannot see the battery level unless we unplug it; when we have checked, it ranges from 77% to 100%.  (There's also an optional 5-meter power cable.)

Your cable should be plugged in snugly in the bottom of the camera with the cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera.

Check outlet. My installer plugged into attic outlet that is switched so after turning attic light off it was dead.
