Outdoor nest cameras “not charged”

I installed a few Nest cameras around my home. The ones with batteries are plugged in but I can’t use them. It says that it needs to be charged! It’s literally plugged in. Not sure what the deal is with these products, but they don’t seem to work well. Anyone know how to make these products work as they are supposed to?

Whatever update they did to the firmware recently put the whammy on a lot of wired cameras.  I have two floodlights and one inexplicably lost the light icon first; got stuck with a red tint in the day and abysmal night vision for a week all while saying my battery was draining.  It's LITERALLY plugged in!!

If you scour the threads you'll see a lot of similar stories.  No fix or acknowledgement from customer service other than Google Bots with canned answers telling you to unplug/replug or remove device and install again.

I have one of my Google nest cameras go bad 30 days after the warranty and Google won’t replace it! When this was nest, they would replace any broken camera because they valued their customer subscription.
WYZE cameras are ¼ the price with better quality . one you can rotate 360°, the subscription is way cheaper. They also have a responsive support troubleshooting section.

Hi everyone,

@Number8, i understand that you're having trouble with the recording on your Nest account. Let me help you out. If you have a 2nd Generation Nest aware subscription it  will cover all of your Nest camera on a single home structure. I’d like to confirm how many home structures do you have on your Nest account? If you have at least 2 home structures, your nest Camera should only be connected to the home structure where the Nest Aware subscription is active.

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond
