I have two Nest IQ outdoor cameras that the code has faded off, both the QR code and the six digit code to have it be part of the Home app. Is there a work around? Otherwise I have 2 useless cameras!
There is no workaround. You need either the QR code or the 6-character alphanumeric setup code to reinstall Google Nest cameras and doorbells. That's why for years we've written down and saved the setup codes.
The IQ cameras can only be installed in the Google Nest app.
I'm pretty sure there is no way to install a Google Nest camera or doorbell using just the serial number, even if you call Support with the serial number.
