I lost the original power adapter can I use any power adapter for my nest camera or does it have to be a nest camera power adapter?

Hi Rjb32390,

Different cameras can use different wattage power adapters and you can find the specifications on the Google store.

The link below shows that the Google Nest indoor wired camera uses a 7.5W USB-A adapter.

Do the nest indoor camera USB power adapters work on 20-amp circuits? I have an indoor cam that loses connection when connected to a verified working 20-amp circuit. However, when I plug it into a 15-amp circuit, it has no issues.

Thanks.

Hi gedeyenite,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, are you still using the same USB power adapter that came with your Nest Camera?

For Nest Camera Indoor AC adaptor input:

  • 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 0.2 A
  • AC adaptor output: 5 V DC, 1.4 A
  • Camera input: 5 V DC, 1.0 A
  • Power cable connector: USB micro-B

Hit this link for more information and let us know if you have any questions.

Best,

Emerson

Yes, I am. I left it plugged in there but moved it away from a refrigerator and Eero.
