Presence Sensing

I had one Google nest camera set up, wired, 2nd generation. It was set to turn on when my phone left the house, and to turn off when my phone came home. It was working great. The other day, I installed another camera, the exact same model, and now presence sensing has stopped working entirely. I have to manually switch between home and away in the Google home app. This seems to completely negate the purpose of having the presence sensing feature. What if one day I forget to switch to Away when I leave or something? I'm so frustrated. I just want it to work like it's supposed to again. Like it was when I had just one camera installed. Please help?

Believe there's some kind of app bug. Presence sensing stopped working for me about a week ago and no clearing of data for the app or re-setting up is fixing it.

No home/away events are triggered in the Google Home App history.... So for some reasons they're not even seeing it.

I am having the same issue. I have 2 Doorbells (battery) and 2 Outdoor Cams (battery). I setup the doorbells and one of the cams, initially. Everything was working.

Then, I added the fourth camera. It is connecting and working, but is not responding to Home/Away changes based on my phone's and my wife's phone's presence. In other words, regardless of the detected Home/Away presence, the fourth cam is ALWAYS set to ON or OFF, based on how I last manually set it.

And, yes, I have Push notifications set to on, as well as Away-only notifications set to on for the fourth camera. The settings exactly match for both cameras.

I am going to try rebooting the fourth camera, using the little button on the back, to see if that gets the camera back in-sync with the Home/Away settings with the other cameras. Very frustrating...

Yes! I found the solution to my 'fourth camera' problem. I had to go into the Home and Away Routines settings and manually add the fourth camera to toggle on/off based on Home and Away detection. I erroneously thought that by enabling presence detection in the CAMERA settings, it would toggle on/off. Nope... you need to both set that up in the Camera settings AND add it to the Home / Away routines. Cool.

Same here...presence sensing quit working right after the last update.  Also noticed my battery setting changed from "Unrestricted" to "Optimized" following the update.

I even changed my home address to another state.  It still says I'm home, no matter where I go.

History used to show presence events (Phone left, phone came home, etc).  That stopped on April 4.

Hmmmm, it's still broken/bugged in the app, so of course it still needs someone to resolve.....

Yeah the Google Home App, no longer detects when you're home and when you're not and thus fails to automatically set the routine on the home to Home/Away.
