Previous owner deceased and doorbell is stuck on the mount so I can't reset it.

The previous owner is deceased and I bought the house and the doorbell is wired and mounted. I followed the videos and steps to unmount the doorbell so I could reset it but it's stuck. I can't call anyone for technical support because apparently there is no technical support number. How do I reset this doorbell?!?!

Hi @Pissedoffangel

You need to factory reset, as you already found out.
Did you try using the tool to get it from the bracket?
If not, you could try using a small flat head screwdriver.

Yes, I did. As I stated. It's stuck. It will not pop off no matter what I stick in that hole!!!

Hi Pissedoffangel,

Thanks for posting. I apologize for the inconvenience — let's get this sorted out.

If you are in the US, you can contact our installation partner, OnTech, to help you unmount and set up the Nest doorbell.

For all other countries, you can book an appointment with a Nest Pro. More information here.

I appreciate the help, RXShorty and MplsCustomer.

Best,

Lance

Closing the loop. Ontech is very expensive 200 Dollars for a service call, and once again offers no phone number to talk to a live person. I finally pried the **bleep** thing off with a screw driver.

Hi everyone,

I appreciate your help, @RXShorty, @MplsCustomer, and Lance.

@Pissedoffangel and @Anonymous, I'm sorry for the trouble this has caused you. As per your request to speak to a live person, please visit the link provided by MplsCustomer above, as it will help you to get support over the phone.

Thanks,

Jenelyn
