It sounds like this may be a situation that had to do with your home internet connection. Do you have the option to switch your connection from 2.4ghz to 5ghz, or vice versa?

Best regards,

Brad

Hey there,

I am terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue! I would love to assist you with this issue. If you are having issues with your Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell, I would suggest that you first start by restarting it.

Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,

Brad

I already did these steps.. but nothing changed

I still can't connect the Nest Cam 😞

Have you had a chance to reach out to Support about this as well? It sounds like it could be tied to your personal wifi. Are you connecting it to a 2.4ghz channel?

Best regards,

Brad

I have the same "Cannot connect to cloud" problem with my new Google Nest Cam (battery) that I cannot get to work. I have spent an hour with Google support but no progress and they do not respond to followup questions to the ticket. It works when setting it up in the Wifi at my friends house. I have a Nest Mini and a lot of other stuff that works without problem in my home wifi (Ubiquiti Unifi AP; use the same SSID for 2.4G and 5G).

Hello,

I have the exact same issue with both a battery doorbell and outdoor camera. I have Google Nest wifi at home but when I try to setup the new devices the home app says I need to create a Nest Network and then I get "Problem connecting to cloud Please try again later." I have been trying over a period of 2-3 weeks so I doubt it is a server issue. Would appreciate any advice or tips. I have several working google speakers + hub max so very confused as to why this is happening.

Thank you.
