Reconnect camera to new wifi

Nest camera worked fine. Upgraded to a new WiFi and since doing so, cannot reconnect camera to WiFi. I’ve scanned the camera and it finds my WiFi, enter the password, then tells me it it could not connect.

I’m having the same problem is there any updates on this?

Update for anyone you have to factory reset the cameras then you can reconnect them.

Hello everyone,

@RjRasmussen, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. I understand that you're having trouble re-adding your Nest Camera to your app. When reconnecting it back to your Wi-Fi you need to reset it to the factory default. Remember that after a reset, all your event history will be deleted. In case you have the Nest Camera (battery) you may follow the steps below.

To reset:

1. Locate the reset button on the back of your Nest Camera.

  • Tip: The reset button on your Nest Camera is located on the back of the camera head.

2. Press and hold the button:

  • At 10 seconds, the status light will flash yellow four times, and you’ll hear a countdown tone.
  • At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the camera starts the factory reset, and you’ll hear a confirmation tone.

3. Release the button. Your Nest Camera will restore to its factory settings.

4. After the factory reset, your Nest Camera will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.

To remove it from the app, open the app, tap on the device, then tap Settings> Remove device > Confirm.

5. Hit this link for more information.

Looking forward to your response.

@Precious7221, we appreciate you sharing here what you've done to resolve the issue.

Best,

Emerson

Thanks, but my best does not have a button on it. I’ve unplugged it for awhile thinking it would have the same effect, but no luck.

Hello RjRasmussen,

Thanks for your update. Which Nest Camera do you have? You may check the link I've shared above and check the steps to reset your specific Nest Camera. Let us know how it goes.
