I have been a nest customer for a few years. I have a doorbell camera, a nest thermostat, the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and now an outdoor google nest camera. Since we've added the outdoor camera, we were forced to migrate our nest accounts with google but our outdoor camera does not stream on the nest app with the rest of our nest devices. Nor does it record, we have no history. How do we get the camera to start recording??? I'm about to return the whole camera.

Hi Crystal, Sadly the new cameras do not work at all from the NEST app. You can only use them from the GOOGLE HOME app which has many many limitations. I returned mine and ended up buying a few used (previous gen) cameras from eBay.

I have the same problem. Just installed a Google Outdoor Battery today and just leant from this community that I will never be able to see it alongside my other cameras in the Nest app or on my Chromebook. The Google Home app seems very limited. I can't show continuous history at the moment. Which is a concern because the clips that do get flagged do not capture all movement - including not capturing people interfering with the cars on our drive -
