Removing Nest Doorbell

I recently bought a new house.  The house has a nest doorbell camera on it.  I do not know how to connect to it.  I cannot remove it to scan the QR code.  The previous owners do not have any of the paperwork or connections for me to use.  How do I (1) remove the face and (2) connect it to my WIFI network and set up under my Google Home app?

How you dismount your doorbell depends on whether you have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell (has shiny black face) installed in the Google Nest app or a 2nd gen Google Nest Wired Doorbell (comes in several colors) installed in the Google Home app.

For the 1st gen doorbell, see the install video here to see how the doorbell is dismounted, starting at about 6:20:

For the 2nd gen doorbell, see the install video here, starting at about 8:33:

On both videos, if you look earlier in the video, you can see how the doorbell is mounted.

You will also need to perform a factory reset before you can reinstall the doorbell; see the Help topic below (using the Factory Reset instructions, not the Restart instructions). You can use the appropriate install video above to reinstall the doorbell. Note that if you can't get the QR code on the back of the doorbell, you can also select "continue without scanning" and enter the 6-character alphanumeric setup code also printed on the back of the doorbell.
