Repeatedly disconnects requiring Factory Reset

Why do I have to select a "Platform" before posting when the problem is nothing to do with any of the "Platforms"?

Why do I have to select a "Category" before posting when none of the "Categories" is appliacble?

Bought in July to replace a Nest Outdoor Cam which had its own problems with my Virgin wifi.

Worked perfectly until Virgin made some "improvements" when it stopped sufficiently to require a factory reset.

Changed to Google wifi last week. Worked perfectly for several days then disconnected. Won't reconnect. Added another wifi point a few inches away (just the wooden front door between). Won't reconnect. Tried "update ... Wi-Fi settings". Won't connect to my 'phone from 1cm away.

Factory Reset on Hello is a pain. Is it worth asking Google/Nest for a replacement? Or does Hello basically not work?

Hey folks,

Restarting and factory resetting your Google Nest camera or doorbell will have different results:

Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.

Factory reset: Erases all your settings and options, and restores its factory default settings. It will not automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi and you'll need to set it up again.

You can find this information, plus additional information on this process here. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Best Regards,

Brad.
