My daughter moved out of a rental house and forgot to uninstall the chime connector / chime puck. The landlord won't allow them to retrieve it. She has installed the Nest 2nd Gen wired doorbell at another location but it can't activate the mechanical chime.
I'd like to get a replacement 2nd gen chime connector but Google/Nest doesn't appear to sell them. I've seen other posts from users who were able to get a replacement. The doorbell is out of warranty.
I opened a case with Google Support. The first team member was helpful but shipped a 1st gen chime connector. The second team member was not helpful and said that Google doesn't have 2nd gen chime connectors available and I should either buy a new doorbell or buy a third party chime connector.
