Rotted camera wiring

Rotted wiring on all of my outdoor cameras. I noticed recently that every one of the cameras has exposed wires because the plastic covering has dry rotted. The are less than 5 years old.

@Rhallcpa

I've seen other posts like yours.

Unfortunately, Google Nest does not sell spare parts, and even if they did, the power cables on the Google Nest Outdoor Camera are connected inside the camera. And Google Nest's warranties are usually good for just one year.

We have several Google Nest Outdoor Cameras, and this hasn't happened to ours because the power cables run into our garage through holes I drilled when installing them. But if our cables deteriorated, I think I would clean off the rotted plastic covering, wrap each individual wire in electrical tape, and then wrap the pair of wires in duct tape.
