Search video history by time range

I am most curious what is going on in my video history at night.  Someone showing up in my camera at 2 AM at night is more concerning than the delivery person at 2 PM in the afternoon.  I have to scroll through many many events that are during the day to see if anything happened at odd hours.  It would be great if I can set a filter on my history log to show only events between a certain time frame (ie 2a-3a), so I can quickly verify nothing strange is going on without having to scroll through the many events.   Does this filter exist?

No time filter unfortunately but there are filters for motion, sound, and other events that you can remove to narrow down just a person, for example

Hello everyone,

@jaycmadison thanks for posting here in the Community. I understand your concern about the filter option for a certain period of time. Let's go ahead and see what we can do here. To confirm, what app are you using to check your recorded video history? It's much easier when you check the history from your Nest app. It'll give you the specific time when it detects the events.

I appreciate the help, Rubes.

Regards,
Emerson

Hi jaycmadison,

How's it going with your Nest Camera? We would appreciate it if you could share with us the information I’m asking above. Also, were you able to perform the steps I’m suggesting? We'd be glad to hear from you — We'd like to make sure everything is working.

Thanks,
Emerson

Thank you for your response.  I am using the Google Home app to view my camera history.  The history does show the exact time an event occurs and I can view the video.  I have a ton of events in my history log.  I have to scroll through every event for every day.  I would rather apply a filter so that only events from midnight to 3 am show.  This will save me from having to scroll through the masses.  The closest filter I have is to filter out unknown faces.  The camera sometimes doesn't recognize me or my family members so the filter isn't very accurate.  A time based filter against a history log seems simple enough for Nest/Google to figure out

Hey jaycmadison,

Thanks for getting back to us and for being clear about what you wanted to do with your Google Home app. However, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature through the Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Best,
Emerson
