Seasonal Chime not updating

I've changed my Nest Doorbell to the seasonal Oktoberfest chime in the Google Home app, but the chime when someone pushes the button has not changed. Changing the default doorbell sound changes the chime, but toggling the seasonal chime in does nothing.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delayed response. Let's check this out. Is it your indoor chime that doesn't change its theme when a visitor pressed your Nest doorbell?

The seasonal theme is only for the Nest doorbell chime.

Hello and thanks for the reply! It actually took a few days after selecting the seasonal chime in the app before it started playing the chime on the doorbell. It's working great now!

Hello everybody,

Thanks for the help @janthadeus, aatienza and @Brad.

@Asklepius and @Adamrabideau76 seasonal doorbell themes are available around some holidays. After the holiday, the doorbell automatically goes back to the default tone, and the seasonal theme disappears in the app. As per the link above, Halloween and Diwali ringtone are still available.

On the nest doorbell wired gen 1 spooky sounds are back!  But Diwali is not available. Only spooky sounds.

I haven’t gotten around to it yet.  I’m just so pleased seasonal rings are available for gen 1  and weren’t for the newer door bells.

I understand your concern about the availability of the Diwali ringtone. Since it's part of the seasonal ringtone it should be integrated into the App within that period. 

Try restarting your Nest doorbell and reinstall your Nest App and Google Home App then, check the list again.

I used to be able to set my nest doorbell to use the seasonal chimes but I am no longer getting the option to do so... Is anyone else having this problem?

I am sorry to hear that you are missing your seasonal chimes! However, they are not available 100% of the time as they are seasonal, primarily showing up as available around holidays. We sent out a recent blog post found here, with more information on season chimes. I hope you find it insightful!
