We just installed a new outdoor Nest camera that is battery-powered (all others we have are hardwired) and had to download the new Google Home app to link all of our cameras together. Seemed simple enough, however, ever since then I have had numerous problems with the app and now the cameras we already had in-use at our home.
Note: I've deleted the app and reinstalled it and the problems persist.
1. Google Home app crashes multiple times, every time I open the app and while I'm using it.
2. Google Home app is no longer displaying video feed for our 4 other, hardwired cameras. It's just a black screen where the video would be and when I click on the individual cameras, no video is displayed even though it says "live". I also don't see where I can get our recorded "video events" anymore, which we're still paying for.
3. I re-added the Nest app, so I could see the video feed of our 4 other cameras since the Google Home app was such a problem. Now those cameras are no longer displaying live videos. It says the feed is live and the time is correct and moving, but the video is frozen for every camera.
I've been very frustrated with Nest for quite some time, but we finally had gotten to a place where it seemed like everything was working for a change. Ever since we moved over to Google Home and added this new camera it's been a disaster. We pay a lot of money for a subscription every year to have recorded video and it hasn't worked correctly in awhile. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
Mostly hardwired as well but once we added the battery ones - doorbell, outdoor cameras /floodlights and outdoor cameras- not functioning, no wifi , no battery, won’t stream on Chromecast… all even though most are hardwired
