What do I do to be able to hear my doorbell ring inside my house. I had a ring doorbell with a chime inside our old home but don’t know what to purchase to hear our new Google doorbell ring. Also, can I make my phone notification make sound?

If you have an indoor doorbell chime, and if your transformer meets Google Nest's requirements (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132(, and if you wire your doorbell to your chime (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10732535), and if you turn on the "Indoor chime" for your doorbell, the battery doorbell should ring your indoor doorbell chime.
The notification on your phone when the doorbell button is pressed or other events are detected uses the standard iOS notification sound, which is not very loud in the iOS 17 release. The sound is not configurable in iOS.
The battery doorbell should also broadcast a chime and announcement on your Nest Hub(s) and Nest Mini(s) when your doorbell button is pressed if you turn on the "Visitor announcements" option (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451).

I have a Google Nest Doorbell (battery) and the announcement/chime that is broadcast and played through our Google Nest Wifi speaker is not very loud. Is there a way to make this louder?

The volume of the announcement/chime is the same as the volume setting of the Nest speaker itself. It cannot be set separately.
