Spinning Circle on my PC using browser to access my Nest Account

Community Member

I'm trying to access my three cameras from PC with assorted browsers. Log into account fine but my videos all have spinning blue circle. I'm using Web access not a Nest app.

Works fine on my iPhone using the downloaded nest app.

Since Nest app is web based it should be using latest version.

What's the deal??

Hi NHSteve,  A few questions that might get you to an answer.

Did this ever work for you or is this a new problem?

It sounds like you are using the older gen 1 cameras since you said you are using the NEST app.   There are (2) websites  that Google offers to view your cameras.  Give these each a try and see if that gets you anywhere.

This is the older one and should most likely be the one to use...

The newer one which might work for you but since this is a preview of the new site coming you can only look at the live images.

The only other thing I can think of is a few years back Google forced everyone to migrate their old NEST account to a Google account that required only the use of a GMAIL email address.   If you have not converted over then this could be the problem

Finally, you can always speak with a Google Nest Tech person by filling out a support ticket. After answering question there is an option to escalate to a phone call with a real human.

Good luck and if you find a solution please return here and let us know what the solution was.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. I just want to check if you were able to get in touch with our support team. Please let us know if you still need help, as we'll be willing to assist you.

I appreciate your help, @EmptyNester.

Found out a few things... the new Beta version of the web-based Nest management does not give spinning wheel.  I also turned "off" my VPN function and the old web version no longer did a sit and spin. So some folks problems on PC web-based app may be due to active VPN.

Hello NHSteve,

That is awesome! — I’m glad to hear that your issue is fixed. It looks like I can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread in 24 hours unless I can help out with anything else.

Appreciate the help, Jenelyn_O and EmptyNester
