Hi everyone. I’ve been having major issues for about a week now with the stream stopping and blue spinning circle showing until app is closed. Launching the app again only shows the stream for maybe a minute until it does it again. Does this on all of my apple devices.
I’ve researched extensively and tried everything that could be an issue, but nothing works. The FF/RW options disappeared today then came back on its own.
have an active Nest Aware Plus package
video is horrible day and night, and the cameras rarely recognizes movement etc.
upgraded our internet to best possible offered by provider.
made sure iOS software current.
Tried other cameras such as blink and all works well on those.
internet speed is really fast.
wifi and router both are close to cameras.
this is a serious problem, especially the inability to see or hear what’s going on out there. And apparently Carolina Wrens talk, and a spider is a person, large dogs don’t trigger movement, and incredibly loud sounds don’t trigger an event either.
And the resolution is worse than Windows ‘95 graphics, leaving most things looking like a hazy blob… not to mention constant ghosting.
I tried to send a message to support but just found myself in an endless loop and going nowhere.
All ‘fixes’ don’t work, and I’m at a loss.

Hi, I have the same problem with my Google Nest camera.
I have an up to date iOS iPad and iPhone. I have tried resetting the camera and deleting en reinstalling the app and also network. Nothing works, I still got this problem.
My partner with the android phone has no issue in the app. I bet it’s a bug in iOS system since the latest update.
I just don’t know how to report this bug.

I thought it was my devices, but I did everything I could and still haven’t gotten it resolved. So many issues.

Hi, yes I have been having exactly the same problem since the last update about a week ago!!! Blue circling all the time. Works for 1 minute max after restarting the app but then back to the blue circle. This is very frustrating, especially as we use ours as a baby monitor.
Requires an urgent fix!
I've left a negative review on the app store but is there a way to officially report the issue?

I’m not sure if there’s any way to get through to them, and I’ve tried and tried and have gotten nowhere. All I get is a chat bot, or waiting for almost 45 minutes on the phone. I just hung up after that long.

I definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I wanted to make sure that your concern was acknowledged. Do you still need help with this issue? I know that there's been a delay in response since you posted.

Hi Brad. The issue still persists, no matter what I try, and I’ve tried everything I could find in the community.

Yes I’m having same issues

I’m having a similar issue on all my iOS devices. I have a doorbell and outdoor camera. Spinning wheel and freezing when reviewing the history. Been like it about a week and been fine for years. Have rebooted router and cameras.

Yep. Same here. Blue spinning circle, freezes, can’t rewind or it freezes and locks up until the app is refreshed.

We are also having this exact same issue, although our video clarity seems normal. Every few minutes we have to stop and close the app, then restart. It works fine for a few minutes and then back to the blue spinning wheel. I am on a new iPhone with excellent wi-fi. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app and am sick of restarting my phone every day. Incredibly frustrating. And, we PAY for this. At some point there are going to be a LOT of people expecting a refund for a crappy product if this continues. What's the point of paying for security if it's not being provided? This definitely needs attention.

I agree. And we upgraded our Wi-Fi as well to the most expensive/fastest, but the video is so awful that everything looks like grainy blobs that disappear if anything moves. Gotta love that ghosting.

Hey folks,
Restarting and factory resetting your Google Nest camera or doorbell will have different results:
Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.
Factory reset: Erases all your settings and options, and restores its factory default settings. It will not automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi and you'll need to set it up again.
You can find this information, plus additional information on this process here. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Best Regards,
Brad.

Hi Brad,
I have done everything possible when I had contact with Google on Facebook and when they made a service account.
But they were continuously repeating questions. I’m so fed up with Google nest and the service right now. We are obviously not
taken serious, I’ve switched to a regular Philips baby monitor a few week ago, you obviously can’t trust Google.

Also having this same issue. I just reformatted my iPad since I thought it was related to how much space was available but that didn't work either.
What's up!?

This is definitely an iOS App issue. We have been using the laptop for the past week and it's fine. Occasional blue circle but it sorts itself out.
Google need to fix the iOS app urgently!!

Same issue here.

Same Issue on iOS. When I use the nest webpage it’s super fast.

Same issue. It’s a few weeks now and gets really annoying. What are we supposed to do?
