Hello,
I set up a second-generation Google Nest wired doorbell. Transformer was changed to a 16V 30VA model that works with intelligent doorbells. Wi-Fi and the wired doorbell function flawlessly. When the button is pressed, the doorbell does not ring. The Google app instructs the installation of the puck. There is no weak or half-chime; there is only NO chime. How do I make the chime function?

Do you have the "chime puck" wired as shown in the diagrams here?

Do you have the "Indoor chime" option turned on?
If you do, I've noticed a few posts in this forum where customers couldn't get their chime to ring, and discovered they had defective "chime pucks". You could try contacting Support starting with the link below to see if this is the case in your situation:

Hi kanyemerch9,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Make sure that the fuse or circuit breaker switch that supplies power to your doorbell is on.
Give these steps a try:
1. Open the Google Home app.
2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
3. Tap More Quiet time, then tap Cancel if it's active.
If you have a mechanical chime that has moving parts to make the 'ding dong' sound, the connector may interfere with the movement of the striker or the sounding bar that the striker hits.
It's possible that a wire came loose when you put your doorbell on the back plate, or that the wires aren't tight enough. Make sure that the wires are securely connected.
1. Remove your Nest Doorbell from the back plate.
2. Retighten the screws that hold the wires with a screwdriver.
3. Make sure that the ends of the wires don't touch each other or the base plate. Trim the wire ends and bend them if needed.
4. To test the chime, press your Nest Doorbell's button.
