Unfortunately, the newly released Google Nest Camera Battery, Google Nest Doorbell Battery, and Google Nest Floodlight Camera only work in the Google Home app, and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. Our existing Google Nest cameras continue to work in the Google Nest app and on the home.nest.com website, and SOME of their functionality can be accessed from the Google Home app. Those of us who already had Google Nest cameras now need to use two apps.
Google Nest's statement on this (along with customer feedback) can be found here:

Same problem, we have several camera on the Nest App for our shop which we use a desktop computer to monitor. Now we have to use 2 software programs to see all the cameras, and I believe it's not possible to see new ones on computer? Not happy.

Same here... Totally unacceptable.. the Google Home app is a piece of trash. It kills me when big tech acts like they have brain damage and / or zero f's to give about their loyal customers.. there are so many threads that are echoing this frustration. But no.. They'll show us!

Hello hursey,
Thanks for posting here in the community and I understand if the Google Home app doesn't have what you're expecting. We appreciate your interest however, we don't have any news to share about applying other features of the Nest app to the Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
Regards,
Emerson

I have already done this and am quite confident that my comments (just as all of these others) will remain unaddressed. Google has proven time and time again, that this is how they roll. Too big to care.
BTW, do you lock these down so that others with the same issue will be silenced? Why lock it down...???

Hi hursey,
Thanks for getting back to us. This is not the experience we want you to have. As Community Specialists, we occasionally do a bit of housekeeping to keep the conversations in our community fresh and relevant. This includes locking threads after a period of inactivity. Let us know if you have questions in mind.
Best,
Emerson

Hello hursey,
Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, we would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let us know.
