Have been using the Home app with my Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Gen for a month or two now, because it is forced. And well, I'm confident saying now that the implementation of scrolling through hours of CVR footage is complete garbage vs the old Nest app.
Please figure out a way to allow vertical scrolling of video, or at least something speed aware to scroll through things horizontally. As it stands, if I want to scroll more than a few minutes it takes dozens of swipes in either direction. The extra fun is that swiping horizontally frequently results in triggering the "back" action on my phone which then causes me to have to start over from the last event AGAIN and hope I don't accidentally trigger the Back action the next time (which I inevitably do when I'm almost where I want to be in the video).
I really don't understand why your app designers wouldn't take a cue from the wonderfully designed Nest app when designing the UX for Home. It is a terrible step back especially because the ability to scroll hours of CVR is one of the key differentiators of the Nest cameras, IMO.

I see I'm not the only person to voice dissatisfaction with the way the Home app handles things. Is there any official roadmap to know if any of this feedback is being seriously considered or is providing it a complete waste of time?

I unfortunately don't have a time frame to provide. As what you're requesting isn't an active feature, this would be a request.
Best regards,
Brad

What I am requesting is actually an active feature in the Nest app, and the only reason I'm forced to use the Home app for new Nest devices seems to be Google's desire to push people to the Home app. However they are doing so without any form of feature parity in place.
Many companies that claim to solicit user feedback have some form of public forum for keeping track of how many users are requesting certain features. As it stands, it feels like you're going to close this thread and it will become more and more obscure until someone else decides to complain about the same thing, at which point they will receive the same canned response.

The only way that your feedback is going to be recorded in full, and goes to the engineers and developers is if you provide your feedback in the app. We'll manage this thread as a feature request as that is the process. But if you want your feedback recorded and sent in, it should be done over the app.
Best regards,
Brad
