USB-C / Gallium Nitride

Battery powered security systems are always beset with increased downtime, particularly those without a removable battery.

Fumbling around for a proprietary charger when USB-C is soon to become the standard method of power transfer in the EU market (possibly with India to follow), would it not be wise to follow suit, along with a faster charging Gallium Nitride battery ?
