Hi,
my Nest Battery Camera straight out of the box won’t connect. Unlike my other 4 cameras, I have left this one to charge overnight before connecting it to Google Home and now, it just won’t show any sign of life. The app won’t recognise it and the soft or hard reset aren’t doing anything whether I press the rest button for 5s (soft reset) or 12s (hard reset). No light, no chime, nothing whether it’s plugged in or on battery.
Before I return it, is there another way to make the camera work again beyond these reset methods? Is it possible that it locked itself somehow?

What colour is the light on the camera?
Nest camera and doorbell lights and sounds - Google Nest Help
If it has no light at all, when charging is the cable firmly inserted into the connector with the cable fed towards the front of the camera? Whilst charging, the status light should pulse white and turn solid white when fully charged?

I have a very similar issue as the camera will connect to the Wi-Fi but will not connect thru the Home app. Have done many resets on the camera, loosened Wi-Fi router settings, restarted router/modem several times. This is the second camera (returned first one) to have this issue. No other devices have had issues connecting. Am wits end trying to figure this out.

For the record, I have given up and returned the camera as it was brand new. When the device doesn't respond to pressing the reset button, there doesn't appear to be a lot that can be done to bring it back to life.

Hey Batwam,
I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you. As per the link provided by davidking if there is no light status in the Nest Camera Battery, it means there is no power to the device, especially when it is not set up yet. We wish we could help you out more on this since you have already returned the device.
@Willbur1274, we'd be happy to take a look into this for you. Just a few questions: what is the LED light on the Nest Camera Battery? Did you try using a different phone when connecting it to the Google Home app? And have you tried reinstalling the Google Home app? I look forward to your response.
@David_K, thanks for the help.
Best,
Edmond

Have tried the uninstall and reinstall of the app with no luck. The light on the camera is flashing blue. I don’t have another phone to try on.

Hey folks,
If the LED light is blue that means on pairing mode. Have you tried doing a Factory reset. Check out this link on how to do factory reset on Nest Camera.
Let me know if that works.
Best,
Edmond

Have tried that multiple times throughout my attempts with no success.
