I have a new Nest Outdoor / Indoor battery security camera. It works well, but any time the sun is in any part of the video, there is very pronounced, pinkish lens flare that overs the entire video and you can not clearly see though it. The picture looks fine when the sun is not in the video. I was thinking that there might be some plastic over the lens used for shipping, but I cannot see one. Does the camera ship with some protective cover over the lens, and if so, is there a secret to removing it? I would like to attach a screen shot of the lens flare, but don't see anyplace here to do that. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I'm and end user like you and have been using these cameras for a long time. I have an Outdoor (battery) that I get a lens flair on every morning. Here is a screen shot from mine I have blurred much of the image but you will get the idea. Is this what you are seeing?
Also, when you compose a reply here there should be a tool bar at the top where you can select things like Bold and italic and there is a camera icon for you to be able to attached an image.
Finally, this lens flair is something all security cams will do when the sun is hitting them directly. I think all you can do is relocate the camera if you can
