Is anyone else having issues playing back footage from their doorbell? I use an iPhone 12 and the Google Home app to manage my doorbell. The videos are SO laggy that it’s almost unusable. Most of the time I can’t even get them to play. Internet is stable and high speed in my home. We switched from Ring and I’ve been so disappointed that this critical feature is unusable. My husband does not have this issue on his Samsung Galaxy. Is there any resolution to this issue?

We have no problems streaming with our iPhone X and iPhone 14, or with our Nest Hubs.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for bringing this up.
I know that this hasn't been easy for you. Since you've mentioned that you have tried and compared it to your other phones, specifically Android, it looks like there's an issue with iOS devices. Could you please provide the iOS version of your phones so we can conduct some investigation regarding this.
Looking forward to your responses.
Best,
Princess

Hi Princess, I would appreciate any help with this issue. I have an iPhone 12 running on iOS 16.0.3 (20A392). Thank you.

Hi Snz823,
Thanks for the additional info. Have you already tried rebooting your router simply by unplugging it from the power source for at least a few minutes. This way, we could refresh its network settings and could prevent network congestion on the devices connected to it.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Princess

Hi Princess, that did not resolve the issue.

Have you tried to use the Google Home Web App to view your video history? I would give it a try and see if you are still seeing lag or delay in video.
Best regards,
Brad

Hi Ebedia,
thanks for checking in. I tried the link that brad sent but it directs me to download the google home app, which I already have. If this is the suggestion, I already use the google home app on iOS to view my doorbell. The lag issue continues. Was hoping it would resolve with the recent IOS update but I’m still haven’t issues.

If you have an older camera or doorbell that worked in the Google Nest app, then you can still access it in the Google Nest app.
