When the doorbell is pressed, the various Google Home devices in the home sound - I cannot find any info on the following -

a) Can I get -all- google home devices (i.e. ones without a screen) to chime?
b) Can I make the chime louder or ring for longer - sometimes it can be missed when there is a lot of noise around.

Thanks

Google Nest does not document which specific speakers can receive "visitor announcements". All they say is "Google Nest or Home speakers and displays can announce when someone rings your Google Nest doorbell..." (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451).

We get visitor announcements on our Nest Mini. Note that "Do not disturb" needs to be turned off on the speaker  in order to receive visitor announcements.

Google Nest does not provide any way to make the announcements longer or louder.

Many thanks for the reply. I keep thinking this tech isn't very mature but actually it's been going a while now; it's a shame there aren't more fine grained controls for it, i just want to hear it over my kids noise! I'm sure others would like to customise the doorbell sound.

I'm aware you can actually buy a chime which you can customize but who would bother doing that if it rings on the Google Home devices?

Like a lot of interesting Google tech there's often something missing...
