Water corrosion from defective weatherproof cord but not fixed b/c told warranty has expired

I'm beyond frustrated because I have spent a lot of money on my "outdoor"  Nest cameras and even more money to buy what was supposed to be "weatherproof"  cords for outdoor use only to end up with a camera that no longer works because of water corrosion damage to both the camera cord USB connection and the weatherproof adapter where the camera USB plugs into. I live in the San Fernando Valley where it hardly ever rains and humidity is non-existent. I just went and checked the rainfall history just to confirm and discovered that my area averages less than 3 inches of rain PER MONTH during the winter months and less than 1 inch of rain PER MONTH the other months of the year. It is one of the most dry climates your customers could live so if you're "weatherproof adapter"  can't handle this climate and is failure leads to permanent damage on the expensive camera I bought SPECIFICALLY to use to secure the outside of my home, how does your company justify denying my warranty claim???

Your product does not work as advertised. The camera, weatherproof adapter, or both are defective and you guys seem not interested at all in resolving the situation in a fair way. What's worse is that I filled a claim and input all the information requested. When customer service help me 24 hours later, I spent 35 minutes on the phone with the customer service representative and answer to the best of my knowledge every single one of the dozens of questions and details ask me about and sent her multiple pictures only to be told that the warranty was expired. She admitted to knowing earlier in the conversation that the camera was not covered under warranty yet she never informed me of that fact and continued asking detailed questions good intentionally gave me the impression that the possibility of resolution was still available.

I'm very disappointed in the way customer service handled my issue. I did not like feeling that I wasted 35 minutes on the phone with hope of a resolution when in fact the representative knew from the beginning that there was none. IMG20220505075610.jpgIMG20220505075620.jpg

I have the same issue (see photos below). I live about 5 miles away from you, so same weather.

Very disappointed in the weather resistance of what is supposed to be an outdoor camera.

I'm also out of warranty with this camera so I won't waste my time with customer service. I also will not purchase another Nest camera.
