Webcasting New Nest Camera

Dear Google, my new camera takes:

1. Five times longer to setup
2. Is two times more difficult to get to and see video
3. Has less functionality due to Google Home having a poorer feature set and experience
4. Requires the purchase of a cable for 24/7 use - the majority of the use cases
5. Does not allow me to stream my video to a website. What is this 1999?

I acknowledge the battery is a cool feature but not at the cost of lesser functionality, a high friction UX, and a huge lack of compatibility with other nest cameras, a majorly branded product line.

Can someone please provide me an insight on how I can stream my video to a web browser? Almost any camera allows this functionality. The world is not only mobile apps, web apps makeup the lion-share of software.

Hi there,

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.
