Super disappointing, the camera should be illegal to sell here. If it stops working at -20c, how can you justify it? It's -20 almost every night for the next 4 months. What am I supposed to do?

We are waiting to see how our Google Nest Battery Camera performs here in Minneapolis. This camera has the same operating temperatures (-20 to +40 Celsius or -4 to +104 Fahrenheit) as our existing wired cameras and doorbells, which have all functioned fine during our two previous Minneapolis winters, where it can get down to -20 to -25 Fahrenheit (-28.9 to -31.7 Celsius). Our cameras are under eaves or a camera shield and the doorbells of course are against the house.
Our camera is plugged in using the optional weatherproof power cable. Today it is 6 degrees Fahrenheit (-14 Celsius) and the camera is live.
Just another Google Nest customer.

It's interesting to know that some wired cameras have the same low-temp problems. Currently it's -32c here and it's only expected to get to -19c for about 2 hours in the next 3 days. So yeah, lots of downtime.

There is another thread in this forum on how the Google Nest Battery Doorbell functions in cold weather:
