The only notification that is currently available on the nest hub appears to be the Nest Doorbell. Is there a way to have the Nest Aware notifications (i.e. people, package, motions) also alert to the Hub?

No only the doorbell will alert the hub automatically.

I know. The question is "why"!?

That would be a Google question, but I suspect that it would simply be overloads of alerts. Personally I had to turn off notifications for most events besides package and doorbell on my phone as it became too much

Yes. I had to do a lot of tweaking to the notifications and zone editing to find a sweet spot.
I'd like to be able to specify which notifications/alerts are brought to by Hub. For example, I'd like to know when there is a person detected in a specific zone.
My sister has a Ring and while I'm vested in the google echo system, i love that tells her audible form her smart display that there is motion in her back yard, or that the basement door was opened (a different set up i know).

Hey folks,
Wondering if you still needed assistance with this issue? Please let me know!
Best Regards,
Brad.

No assistance needed as this was a complaint more so than an issue.
I was hoping for a dialogue or insight to the lack of integration and control of cameras notifications on the Google Hub.
For example, there is "familiar face detection" and "zones" that can be set up to provide you notifications to your mobile however there is no way to have this available on our Hubs. For example, if a package is detected I'd like the option for my Hub to notify. Or if there is an unfamiliar face in the backyard, that notification be announced on the Hub.

I would love this expanded notification on the hub as well. I know when someone pushes the Doorbell button that the Google Hub wakes up and shows me what is going on. But so often now a days delivery people are not pushing the button. So if the camera simply sees a person I would like to be notified of that as well. It works on my phone but it would be awful nice if it worked on the hub. HONESTLY, how much these devices don't work with each other is astonishing given the power of Google.

Yes, completely agree with each point made.
I'm equally astonished with these disjointed products and how they don't work together. It's a real struggle to keep brand loyal and keep within the Google ecosystem. There are zero incentives and competing brands offer want you are wanting/needing.
