Why am I limited by using Gsuite?

SamwiseHolmes

We have a Google Home set up, using my Gsuite account, with basically every Google device under the sun.

Why then, can I not set up the Nest Doorbell with this same account?

And why has this been brought up with Google for over a year with no action?

It is incredibly frustrating to be limited as a result of being a paying Google customer.

Is my only option to erase all of the devices, automations, nest internet, all of our connected services, and start new with a basic Gmail account that I don't want to be registered on my phone?

Is that the only way to add Nest Doorbell???

I won't sugar coat this, to setup Nest Doorbell (battery) requires a standard Google account. There isn't a way you'll be able to get it to work using a Google Workspace account unfortunately.

For me, I totally get the frustration but as it stands, and as has been the case for some time, Google don't support using Google Workspace accounts with Nest products unfortunately.

That's not true. Every other Nest product apart from Nest Doorbell works. We have multiple nest minis, nest hubs, nest speakers, and nest wifi. All works with the Google Workspace account.

The only item that doesn't appears to be Nest doorbell

Sadly, cameras do seem to be a product type that don't support Workspace accounts, at least as far as setup goes. I didn't say you wouldn't be able to setup every product, but support wise that's not covered.

Some Google Home app features are not available for Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts. To access all Google Home app features available in your country, link a personal Gmail account instead.

Thanks for the responses, I do appreciate it.

However I wasn't really seeking clarification of the fact that some features are not available to Google Home, I am aware of this. The question of "Why" is to seek an answer about why Google still hasn't rectified a system that makes life difficult for Google Workspace email accounts.
