Am I the ONLY one who thinks Google is run by idiots? Why in the absolute hell would you buy another company (Nest) then have no easy way to have them talk to each other? JUNK! I am so pi$$ed off right now I can hardly speak. I wasted an hour and a half online with some bonehead tech support that did nothing to help me with my problems. I have a Nest front doorbell/camera and a Nest thermostat AND AND AND 5 Nest smoke detectors all running on my Nest app. Then about a year ago I wanted to include some Nest WIFI hotspots and a Nest router? Think I could do that? NOPE! Now they only make Google Nest cr@p so sure, I buy this but can I use on my Next app? Nope! I have to use the Google home app, so I do that. Now I want to add a few indoor cameras? Should be easy right? Nope, no frigginng way. Again, they are idiots. I scan the QR code to install (Nest app.) and it says I can't, has to use the google app. So I scan the QR code again, and it says thats a nest product. Nest, again, says no. What the good phuck is going on? Then after 2 hours of web surfing I find out that I have to migrate the nest app. Are you kidding me? So I try that. But it won't let me, know why? Because the email I used for my Google home app is just a regular email address which I can't freaking use, it has to be a gmail address. What is going on? I am so so so angry right now I can't talk. And don't come at me for language, hours and hours of my time has been wasted by a company that clearly does not care about it's customers.

And let's not forget that I have had 1000 hours troubleshooting the Google/Nest wifi in my house. Still not fixed.

I suspect that Google/Alphabet mass-produces too many new beta products which will be dropped on the market without a working quality assurance.
If the user base doesn't meet the required number a product support will be dropped, sometimes without warning.

Going on two days now my floodlight/camera attempts the last step of setting up device then goes into a Something went wrong- setup is taking longer than normal. Changed band of 2.4 and 5ghz, added a range extender and still same issue. Grabbed the original floodlight camera which was 2 day old (feed was showing lines in infared) and same issue. Setup goes through the setup and I am able to see live view. Camera adds to google home and floodlight but the horrible last setup "finishing up setting" then - something went wrong, setup is taking longer than normal. I can quit setup and go into activity zones to see a live feed but the camera itself just opens to the settings of the camera when selecting. Called google yesterday and got "Oh we can remove all your devices from home and delete the app". Yeah, OK buddy, I have 52 devices so no way. Not to mention the old camera, which joined fine 2 days ago, is throwing the same issue. Put on hold for 15 minutes to be told, Oh, the Google Home App is down. Our engineers are currently working on it. Should be good by tomorrow. Guess what still not able to add a day later. Day two and hours in over 90 degree weather for nothing. Google, step your game up here and at least send out an email or notification to your users. Your security systems are not cheap and the technology is worse than Nest products which came out years ago. Don't mind paying for the name if your backend was functional and app/ecosystem.

Here's an idea maybe if they really read these exchanges they can get a hint and set up a home test facility and get a couple of random citizens to test the crap before they change it. This all worked and installed seamlessly when Nest drove the bus. Now a bunch of code freaks and market scammers are hijacking all of our safety!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this cost switching to ADT is affordable again.
