Why pay for something if its not going to work

  • Hi I bought 2 outdoor cameras for security purposes especially since we were going to be out of town vacationing and my camera has been offline for days and I'm not home to reset. That's not fair. Not right to be paying for something that it not work

Hi Gloriapip,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Nest cameras. I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. However, you should be at home so that you have physical access to your camera or doorbell to fix offline issues. You won't be able to perform many of the troubleshooting steps remotely.

Here are some steps you can take if you aren’t at the location:

  1. Check for any iOS or Android updates.
  2. Uninstall the Google Home or Nest app, restart your phone, and then reinstall the app.
  3. Try connecting your mobile device to another Wi-Fi network or using mobile data.

Once you can access the cameras, this handy guide may help: Troubleshoot offline Nest camera or doorbell.

Best,

Lance
